Årets upplaga av IB-Expo 30 november håller lika häpnadsväckande hög klass som alltid. Dessutom kommer den legendariske trummisen Terry Bozzio till Halmstad 15 oktober.

The annual IB Expo 13 concert will take place at Kulturhuset in Halmstad, Sweden on Saturday, November 30th at 19.30. Doors open at 19.00.

Trumpet ace Luca Calabrese, virtuoso violinist and Aranis member Liesbeth Lambrecht and classical master guitarist Christian Saggese are familiar to IB Expo regulars, their musical skills having enriched several IB Expos. We especially welcome accordionist Jolien Wils, a conservatory trained musician and teacher from Belgium who plays Astor Piazzolla's music with the Libertangokwartet and french, belgian and klezmer music with Amuzet.

imageThe extraordinary bassist and composer Julie Slick is known for her wide array of unique tones and melodic invention. She has developed a distinctive voice through her international performances and recordings with acts such as The Adrian Belew Power Trio, The Crimson ProjeKct, Paper Cat, Springs and others. While still in her teens, Julie had played with Jon Anderson, Alice Cooper, Stewart Copeland, Ike Willis, Eddie Vedder and Ann Wilson. Her latest album is Terroir. Read more here!

A highly regarded film music composer, Torn has also collaborated with David Bowie, Jan Garbarek, Tori Amos, Don Cherry, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Jeff Beck, Laurie Anderson, Mick Karn, Tony Levin, Alan White and many others.

imageRichard Barbieri (photo by Maggi Ronson). Keyboard player Richard Barbieri started his career by playing in Japan, alongside IB Expo musician Mick Karn. Following Japan's split, Barbieri frequently joined forces with his former bandmates Mick Karn and Steve Jansen.
In 1993, Barbieri joined Porcupine Tree, one of the most popular progressive rock bands in recent years with chart success and Grammy awards to prove it. Recently, Richard Barbieri has been collaborating with Marillion vocalist Steve Hogarth.

Terry Bozzio, the legendary drummer who has played with Frank Zappa, Jeff Beck, Allan Holdsworth, UK and loads of others, will come to Halmstad on Tuesday, October 15th at 19.00 (please note the time! Doors open 18.30) to perform a solo drum concert.
Yes, Bozzio will be alone on stage, but with a vast array of tuned drums what you will experience is much more than just drum solos. Terry Bozzio has taken an advanced compositional approach to drumming which will leave no one disappointed.
Jaws will drop as this phenomenal drummer performs on his extremely big drum kit with six bass drums, a multitude of toms and more cymbals than your average music store.
