Kate Bush nya album, hennes första på sex år, heter Directors Cut och består av remixade versioner av låtar från albumen The sensual world (1989) och The red shoes (1993).

Omdömena om albumet har varit genomgående mycket positiva. Mojo har Bush som omslagsflicka och kallar det ett mästerverk.
Många förfasar sig dock över att hon använder autotune.
If Director's Cut really was a new album, if you were hearing these songs for the first time, then it probably would be considered among Kate Bush's masterpieces: certainly, the sheer quality of the songwriting makes every recent female artist who has been compared to her look pretty wan by comparison
Bush successfully re-invents selections from the latter period of her catalogue. I wasn't going to say the metamorphosis of these songs is like a fine wine maturing but... it's like a fine wine maturing. There, I've said it.
